Connetix tiles are a fantastic and flexible open-ended toy that will astonish you. It was certainly the case for us! They’re beautiful and clear, and yet robust. It’s interesting to see how they draw the attention of children, and can entice them to engage in a game for many hours or even for days. There is so much you can do with them!
The magnetic tiles stimulate their interest, spark their imagination and assist in developing spatial awareness. They’re great for flat designs as well as 3D design as well as requiring many problems to solve in play time. I find it to be a fantastic choice for boys and girls of all ages. They will have fun playing together. It’s among the few toys that are engaging simultaneously my son, who is three years old, and my six-year old daughter. It’s simply amazing.
About Connetix
Connetix is an Aussie-based business founded in the year 2019 , by two family members that became acquainted when their children began going to elementary school with them. They noticed that their young kids enjoyed playing, and in addition, they were learning while using magnetic tile. That’s why they came up with an original version of the game that is durable and secure, while also offering better refraction as compared to the tiles available on the market.
Brea & Dave are the two brains behind the business.
“Brea is a highly experienced primary school teacher, Masters-qualified early-childhood teacher , and mother to three small children. Brea is a lover of playing and learning, as well as an interest in open-ended quality toys that evolve with your children! “
“Dave is an experienced business man who has strong entrepreneurial and financial background. After working for five years within Engineering office as a mechanical designer Dave has extensive experience manufacturing and shipping goods. He knows what is required to bring a high-quality product to the market. Dave has two kids who love having fun with the Connetix everywhere they travel (yes they even take an empty travel bag to eat dinner! ).”
Are Connetix tiles fun?
Oh my! Yes! Absolutely! My children have lots of fun with them . they can create anything they want. In reality, the only limitation to their creativity.
You can construct homes, animals, vehicles garages, rockets and garages ball runs, and slides… your possibilities are endless.
It’s a great toy to play with inside however, you can also play outdoors. We’ve used a few tiles on short journeys for a visit to the doctor’s office to keep the kids entertained. It’s also a great toy to play with children from other families so that they can play together (when they’re smaller) or construct things in a group.
What’s great with open-ended toys such as those tiles is the fact that they will grow along with the child. The toys they design will change as they develop and acquire more abilities. They’ll begin with a tiny home at the age of three and by six, they could have constructed tall structures with the windows of bridges and even bridges. It’s an amazing experience that all children (adults as well) can play with. These toys aren’t just intended for children. You’ll be amazed to discover that there are lots of #adultswhoconnect.
What is Connetix tiles?
Connetix tiles can be described as magnetic ones that are made from ABS plastic that is non-toxic and BPA lead, BPA, as well as Phthalate free. Every tile has been sealed, and then riveted to increase safety, and its unique beveled shape allows Connetix to be durable while creating stunning reflections. Furthermore this layout makes the tiles not entirely flat, which can help minimize scratches and help make the tiles as clear as they can be.
The tiles are developed in Australia and are manufactured in China. The company ensures that all tests and approvals needed to sell them have been carried out in order to ensure they take the security of their products extremely seriously.
Why did we pick Connectix?
We have also had smaller sets of magnetic tiles in the past and they’ve always been a hit in our the house. They were gifts that came as a surprise from friends and relatives My children were enthralled by them from the time they came in. However, the size of the sets we received was small and the amount of work they could use them for was limited. These are the two sets we have:
After seeing how much they loved being with the set, I decided we ought to go for something bigger in our home and purchase an additional set can be enjoyed by all and not be fighting over the only two “big pieces” that we owned. So I began to research to see if Santa could bring us a huge present for our family: an enormous set.
I’d been seeing Connetix tiles for a while on Instagram as the tiles in pastel were so gorgeous and unique, they took my heart. However, I did some study at different tiles and sets. I was certain that I needed sturdy magnets as well as a set that had more than two squares (to keep from fighting) Clear tiles that let me play the lightness of the tiles, and a quick delivery to Spain. Connetix fulfilled all the criteria and the pastel colors was the main reason for me to choose them. There is no one else with tiles like these. They are stunning. And I am thrilled that we chose to go with the pastel selection.
In the beginning I was unsure whether we should purchase the Rainbow color tiles, as they would match the tiles we already had at home. However, at the end of the day I determined that the pastels were beautiful enough to let go of. It is possible to combine connetix Connetix together with Magtiles we have, but we rarely ever.
I placed an order through their website in November. There was talk of driver shortages as well as issues with delivery until the end of 2021. Since I could not locate the items in the stores I normally shop at, I looked around and discovered they were sold exclusively in Europe. This was a fantastic choice. It arrived home in three weeks (faster than what days they had stated) It was a joy. We were given our hands on the Connetix Pastel Mega Set (a gift from us to our family) as well as The Ball Run (a gift from my parents).
It was an Connetix full-on surprise that included the gorgeous slides and tiles on Christmas Day.
What are the best ways to play using Connetix tiles? Connetix tiles?
This toy that is open-ended is amazing. I’m certain that after playing with it for 3 months, we’ve just begun to explore its possibilities. However, I’d like to let you know the things we’ve accomplished to date.
Each of the Connetix products include an Inspiration book which can be used to gather ideas from.
Structures and structures
The idea of creating these was my children’s first instincts. They began to build houses and castles, towers, and castles. They then began to put their most loved toys inside, from tiny cars and dolls to huge plush dolls. It is possible to say that it’s their favourite way to play using the tile.
Flat designs and patterns
I enjoy making geometric patterns as well as flat design and they love the process too. Geometric patterns, flowers characters castles, rockets you can name it! These can be created on various surfaces to create different effects. On the floor or on a wall with magnetics (or fridge) or on a table lamp or in front of a windows. They create gorgeous backgrounds for small-world games.
Animals
Let’s design some 3D animals! They are such a blast but they are a little more difficult because you have to consider how to make sure the structure remains solid enough to withstand the load that you have created. I’ve seen mine break numerous times before I was able to complete it. There’s plenty of problem-solving throughout the process which I find fascinating. It’s hard, but feasible, and you feel great once you’ve made your dream realized.
Transports
They’re great for building cards such as trains, trucks rockets, spaceships, planes – whatever they think they could make. The mega set includes two car bases, which can be used to build, however you can buy the bases on their own.
Small world of play
Connetix tiles are great for decorating small-world designs. Create a lake, field or a few bushes, trees tiny houses and igloos, tents garages, train stations– anything you can think of to make your small world more appealing and more vibrant and enjoyable.
Balls run
Ball runs are a lot of fun when you play with tiles. The sound of ball rolling around is captivating. There’s also an entire set of ball runs however, you don’t have to use it to make ball runs. Instead of using slides, you can create levels by with the use of tiles to create ramps. you need to think creatively and have exciting. It is also possible to create rings to let rings and coins run down. It’s also a lot of fun. Also, mini cars can go down.
Ball maze
The maze can be a great method of playing by using ball and Connetix tiles. Instead of rolling them across different levels, you create them to roll flat. I was thinking of creating the maze using the tray (If we had Connetix large plates I would have utilized the ones) as the maze was quite weighty I was thinking of putting it on a cushion. As a result this, children can control the ball with out carrying the weight. Simply press the corners to alter the angle. I am in love with these!
Games
These are fantastic tools to design games. You can design a tick-tack toe checkers board as well as snakes and ladders, soccer field There are many games that you can play, or create!
ABC & 123
The tiles are a great source to learn ABCs , 123 and more. If you visit the Connetix website, you will discover a wealth of free tools. For instance, there are cards for numbers, as well as real-sized printables for A3 numbers in in black and white. There are also templates for letters, which can be a great method to draw their attention and begin to identify the letters.
It’s not possible to print on A3 therefore I haven’t attempted them. However, you can use an enormous piece of paper then lay out your layout then trace around each tile, and show the design to your child, and they must fill it in using the pieces. It’s like a huge puzzle which they can fill in by using any colour combination. Write letters, their names or any other objects or patterns that they will love. Lots of fun!
It is also possible to draw on the tiles using chalk pen, and then have them select the letters that spell their name or the words. Write numbers and then match them to numbers of objects. In reality, the possibilities are limitless.
Where can we keep the Connetix tiles? Connetix tiles?
When we first received they were first received, we stored the original boxes. After a few weeks, I decided to purchase the cart made of metal from Ikea and it’s been the best decision we have ever made. The tiles are stored in the cart all the time and are able to be moved effortlessly around the home. I store the boxes just in case I need play with the toy inside the cart, however they’ve been in the cart for 2 months in a row and I have played with them nearly every day, which means that the tiles won’t go anywhere.
Connecting to other tiles
I’ve heard that the tiles can be connected to several other tiles from the brand like Magnatiles, and Picasso tiles.
I’ve tried out using the Playmag tiles we have in our home, and they do connect and you can even combine the two. The colors clash somewhat because we use Connetix pastels as well as the Playmags that come in Rainbow shades, but my kids are able to ignore the issue if it means that their structure will be more.
If you’re worried about whether the things you have already got is able to be linked with these, it most likely will.
Connetix tiles are an excellent toy that is open to growth
We have a lot of fun with open-ended toys at our home. The majority of the time, it was me but our children are loving and playing with them ever more. The introduction of open-ended toys into our playroom is among the most beneficial decisions we’ve made. As a result we can see the creativity they unleash when they play and the things they create on their own. It’s amazing
Connetix can be described as a toy that can be used for anything. Therefore, I am sure it will last for many years to come as it can be used with any other idea of play they’re engaged with. If they’re playing in dolls’ houses, they construct tables and chairs. If they play in cars, they create garages and bridges. When they play using trains, they construct stations and landscapes. Also, if we’d like to build some ball runs The slides are amazing. In all honesty, we’ve played a lot on them and would highly recommend these slides.
If you’re thinking about buying magnets for your kids do not be afraid to try it. We are so glad we’ve brought them into our lives, and have not regretted it a single time. For us, the Connetix pastel collection is the most stunning thing there is. We are in love with it and strongly recommend it.
I hope that the ideas I’ve shared here can inspire you to engage these toys. I’ll continue to share additional play ideas as we play more with them.
Enjoy playing! !
